eThekwini also offers a convenient disposal option of blue garden refuse bags, which can be purchased at selected retail outlets, hardware stores, and service stations. Alternatively, residents can choose to sign a blue bag contract, where CSW will deliver these bags to your property. The cost of blue bags includes the collection of garden waste and disposal thereof.
Blue garden bags must be taken out together with black bags on the scheduled collection day (Thursday). To set up a blue bag service delivery contract, download and complete the following form and return to Janet.Mkhize@durban.gov.za, our Regional Customer Assistant for CSW.
The cost of 12 Blue bags with the DSW logo is R87,37 (ex VAT) per month, and it will be added to your eThekwini Metro bill for billing convenience. Your blue bags will be delivered to you monthly, and this includes the cost to remove your garden bags every week.
