Volunteer Call: Community Admins
We are looking for Retirees or residents with daytime capacity to join the Community Group as Admins. Work from home or Volunteers who can commit to a few hours a day of emailing, Whatsapping and sometimes Phone Calls.
Let’s be clear: we are volunteers with grueling full-time jobs. While we often drop everything for the community, the current pace is daunting. We need help from people who actually have the hours to give during the day when the municipality responds.
The Role
We need quick learners who can interface with the Ward Councillor, eThekwini officials, and residents. You will be expected to make fast, honest, and transparent decisions for the precinct.
The Requirements
Patience & Professionalism: You must remain calm when people refuse to read or listen during a crisis.
Tech Literacy: You need WhatsApp, a Notebook/Tablet, and the ability to learn systems quickly. We have our own System that allows us to escalate faults. It is one of a kind in South Africa, and we will train you on how to use it.
Attitude: A "Go-Get-It-Tiger" mindset. You are a glutton for punishment in what is often a thankless job.
