Why illegal dumping is a problem?

Penalties for illegal dumping
- Fines: Individuals and companies caught illegally dumping can be charged a spot fine or face a fine of up to R100,000 upon conviction.
- Imprisonment: In addition to fines, offenders may be sentenced to imprisonment for up to three years.

We are fortunate to live 5 mins (3.1 km) away from the DSW Bellair Garden Drop Off site, please use this site instead of dumping within our precinct. There are many small business owners who are available to remove and dump refuse at a reasonable cost.
